Alpine Lumber, Silverthorne

579 Construction was contracted to build the new Alpine Lumber in Silverthorne, CO.  We are installing Interior and Exterior Cold-Formed Metal Framing, Gypsum Drywall and Finish, Thermal Insulation and Acoustical Tile Ceilings.

Silverthorne is situated between the Gore Range to the west and the Continental Divide to the east in Summit County, Colorado.  It is located at 8,730 feet above sea level.  Silverthorne has a highland- influenced subpolar climate with warm summer days, cold nights year round.  Silverthorne served as a makeshift camp for workers during the construction of the Dillon Reservoir from 1961 – 1963 and later on as a stop along Interstate 70.  Currently it has several outlet malls just off of the 70.
